INGREDIENTS

1/2 lbs ground beef
1/2 lbs ground pork
2 cups beef broth
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 large yellow or sweet onion (diced)
3 cloves garlic (minced)
1 egg
4 tbsp butter (unsalted)
1/4 cup shredded parmesan
2 tbsp flour
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

SEASONINGS
2 tsp fresh parsley (+ more for garnish)
1 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Salt & pepper (to taste)

DIRECTIONS

STEP 1
Add the diced onion and 1 tbsp olive oil to a large pan. Sauté the onions until translucent and fragrant. Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

STEP 2
In a large bowl, combine the following ingredients: ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, egg, 1 tbsp heavy cream, and seasonings (parsley, oregano, garlic powder, onion powder, ground nutmeg, salt/pepper). Add the onion and garlic to the mixture once cooled down. Mix the ingredients together - adding more heavy cream as needed.

STEP 3
Roll the meat mixture into small balls and set aside.

STEP 4
Heat remaining 2 tbsp olive oil in a large pan. Add the meatballs to the pan (be careful not to overcrowd the pan) and brown on all sides, turning frequently, until cooked through. Turn off heat and set meatballs aside for Step 6.

STEP 5
In a separate pot or deep pan, whisk together the butter and flour on Medium heat. Add in the following ingredients one by one, stirring in slowly: beef broth, the remaining heavy cream, shredded parmesan, Dijon, & Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 3-5 minutes, or until the sauce begins to thicken.

STEP 6
Transfer the meatballs to the pot with the sauce. Simmer for an additional 3-5 minutes.

STEP 7
Remove the meatballs from the heat, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve over mashed potatoes or buttered egg noodles with your favorite side dish.
