Total Time: 35 minutes | Servings: 6 | Calories per Serving: 458
Handcrafted artisanal Greek lamb meatballs - a blend of flavorful ground lamb mixed with dill, oregano, and traditional Greek herbs and spices. Serve these delectable meatballs on a warm pita with a generous dollop of tzatziki for a satisfying gyro experience, or atop a crisp Greek salad for a refreshing and wholesome meal.
DIRECTIONS
STEP 1
Preheat oven to 350° F.
STEP 2
Add the diced onion and 1 tbsp olive oil to a large pan. Sauté the onions until translucent and fragrant. Add the minced garlic to the pan and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
STEP 3
In a large bowl, combine the following ingredients: ground lamb, ground beef, egg, milk, feta, breadcrumbs, and all of the herbs and spices listed. Add the onion and garlic to the mixture once cooled down. Mix the ingredients together - adding more milk as needed.
STEP 4
Roll the meat mixture into balls and set aside.
STEP 5
Heat 3 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large pan. Add the meatballs to the pan (be careful not to overcrowd the pan) and brown on all sides, turning frequently.
STEP 6
Once the meatballs are browned on all sides, remove from pan and set on a lined baking sheet.
STEP 7
Place meatballs in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until cooked through.
STEP 8
Remove from oven, garnish meatballs with fresh parsley, and serve on a warm pita with a generous dollop of tzatziki or atop a crisp Greek salad.
