Asian chicken lettuce wraps - tender ground chicken sautéed in a garlic ginger hoisin glaze and served in a lettuce boat. Inspired by the P.F. Chang's Chicken Lettuce Wraps.

DIRECTIONS

STEP 1
Heat olive oil in a large pot or pan on Medium heat. Add ground chicken to the pan and cook for 5-8 minutes, breaking up the meat as it browns. Remove from heat and set aside in a small bowl.

STEP 2
Add the onions, water chestnuts, garlic, and ginger to the heated pan. Season with salt and pepper, and sauté for 3-5 minutes (or until onions become fragrant and translucent).

STEP 3
While the onion mix cooks, combine the following ingredients in a small bowl: hoisin sauce, soy sauce, rice wine vinegar, toasted sesame oil, Sriracha, salt, and pepper.

STEP 4
Add the cooked ground beef back to the pan with the onion mix. Pour the hoisin glaze over the meat and stir to combine all of the ingredients. Cook on Medium heat for 3-5 minutes, or until sauce thickens. Remove from heat.

STEP 5
Spoon the hoisin chicken mix into the lettuce leaves. Garnish with scallions, drizzle on additional Sriracha or hoisin sauce, and serve with fried rice or your favorite side dish.
